He was the adoptive son of Bree Hodge and her husband Orson Hodge. His real mother is Danielle Van De Kamp, who then posed as his half sister. Danielle was impregnated by Austin McCann and in a bid to salvage the family image Bree and Orson decided to raise the child as their own. Bree pretended to be pregnant and when he was born she told everyone that he was her son. While Danielle was pregnant she stayed at a convent, the family told everyone that she was at school in Switzerland. After living with Bree for three years, Danielle returned to get Benjamin and he currently lives with his mother Danielle and his stepfather Leo.
